My domain is not pointing to the new server yet.

Q. My domain is not pointing to the new server yet. How can I install and test it to make sure that everything is working right?

A. You can use any Domain or IP address to run the installation script as long as it is where you will be pointing your domain later. We didn't use absolute links just for this purpose. Be sure though to enter the licensed domain name when asked or it will not continue. To do your testing after installation, it is suggested that you spoof your machine.

To spoof your machine to see the new site.

Go to C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32DRIVERSETC

Open the HOSTS file using Notepad and add the following lines (after you change it to the real IP address).

192.168.1.1 www.yourdomain.com
192.168.1.1 yourdomain.com
